Hilux soon to be Mog
I've come across a new style mog (thanks Rizza)...and will be converting the Losi/Axial bitza into a Unimog in the comming months. So i thought i would start a buil thread. First of findind as many pics on the web of real mogs to get a idear how they sit on the chassis.Heres what i've found.
Children may have to be accompanied by an adult to view this mog as it is hidiously ugly.....(but i love it.)

I actually really like it. At least it will be original as well. Where did you get the body from?

The BRABUS one off is bad ass. The body can be found on a toy truck at wow sight and sound and sometimes on ebay.

Re: Hilux soon to be Mog
Well its time for a update, have striped the cab down to a bare shell & sanded it down ready for a bit of a bog & then spray putty it.
In the 2nd pic is where the original side mirrors go....i did'nt like the plasticy look so decided to chop them of and find some others latER.(the right side was missing anyway). Then the yellow flashing lights on the roof was to ag...so chop chop. The little front spot lights well...to much crap on it so...chop chop. I know its not going to be 100% original....but thats what its all about ,customising. Also i will be painting the interior...don't know the colour scheme yet.

Re: Hilux soon to be Mog
yeah if you can cut the styrene sheet to fill the hole pretty close then use minimum bog would be fine man.

Re: Hilux soon to be Mog
You can also use acetone/carby cleaner etc with either shavings of the lights you cut off or styrene to make a filler for the holes too. Make a couple of test batches first so you can see how fast it melts the plastic, you want it to be wet enough so it will fill the holes but not too wet that it attacks the body. This way no bog is needed if you fill it high enough. Once dry just sand it smooth. If you use bog, like Troy said use as little as possible as it will shrink and crack over time.

Re: Hilux soon to be Mog
Thanks guys.....Yes Ads he's getting on & hard to keep on track.
Ahhh..no Jarrod the mog won't be finished for Sunday, today will be glueing all the attachments back on and the hinge also the rear support.
I've still got a long way to go......making brackets for the cab/chassis....then cutting the tray shorter to fit the short wheel base. It is a slow process, especially so close to xmass.
