Just an update on how things are going with the 40, The body is mounted to the chassis via piano hinge so it's nice and strong, I've started wiring up the led light kit and mounting the leds in the light buckets, I just need to lengthen the wires to the h/lights and spot lights..

Had a bit of a quiet day at work today so I had a bit of a play around with an idea using a bit of alloy 25mm C channel.. version 1.0, I cut it all out and got a mate around the corner from work to tig it up then i hit it up on the linisher.

But I just didn't think it looked quite right, just a bit too wide from top to bottom..
So I got a piece of 20mm C section and started all over again. Version 2.0, this time i even folded a bit around the side to fill in the gap.

I think that looks a lot better scale wise, We'll find out tomorrow when i get it back from the welder..
Might even add a hoop see how I go.. need some where to mount spotties.

Just a quick question I'v noticed when I put the tires on the rims they hold the air.. is it just a case of drilling a small hole in the rim?
I'v done this on my outlaw but I'm just wonder since we run these through water..

Hey matty.....with the wheel weights, running pneumatic is fine. Yes the water does get in with pre drilled holes in the rim....i ended up silican the holes, it runs well.

What rims you using matty?

If you can. Drill a hole, tap to M3 then throw a grub screw in it. That was you can run vented for dry days and then seal them up for water runs.
