Broadwater Park, Mansfield

Post  RiZZa on Thu Oct 28, 2010 4:09 pm

This trail spot has sand, clay, water and rock. The rock is mainly in the creek bed. As its been pretty wet lately the creek is pretty full, but it does empty out enough to be able to drive through it. To get to the main wheeling spot: park at the bottom carpark and head along the 'red' path. Follow it along to some steps down to the creek and around those steps on either side of the creek or 50m north or south of them is the best area for driving. The area is well shaded and its a good idea to pack the aeroguard. Its at Mansfield pl Mansfield.

I like the look of that spot, Maybe for a winch session out of the creek? Gonna try go have a look at it over the weekend. Don't rekon the water will be much lower after the rain we've had the last couple days lol.

I had a look here the other day and it has changed a bit. Before the main part were some 'bowls' in a snake pattern. When it rained, they would fill with water and that was it. Now it looks like either end of them has been opened up to allow for more water to move through the area. They are somewhat drivable still Wink . On the other side there looks to be a rock drain being built. Might have something to do with the gateway upgrade.
