Ive got the junfac Gtransion shocks and just cant seem to set them up properly.

Just wondering if anyone uses these shocks and what shock oil to use in them

I have them setup as droop with the little spring on top

i ran them for a fair while before i ditched them. I had them set-up in droop with the small spring on top and no long spring at all. Was running around 70wt oil from memory as well.

You'll have a bitch of a time bleeding them though, they suck balls to bleed.

Which ones did you get. From what I've seen the 90mm come in 2 flavours, 1/10 and 1/8 with the only difference being the spring stiffness. With our rigs the better would be the 1/10 with the softer springs especially if using the droop setting. If they are the 80mm version they only come with the softer springs. Also as Wideload said a lot of people only use the small spring in a droop setup with a thicker oil or you have to have some serious weights on the axle for it to work properly.

I'm running power strokes scalers now. They go pretty good after your re-build them. Biggest downside is they are short.... proline specs them at 90-95mm, in reality they only have the same amount of travel as your average 80mm shock. They still work perfectly on my honcho, i've never had a issue with them that i haven't caused.

Another option to look at is the alloy axial scx10 shocks. They're easy to build and are still pretty smooth for a crawler shock.

Even the plastic axial ones are pretty good if put together right.
