Night comp trial run Sat 26/11

Hey fellas,

Myself and Brett (stika) are putting on a trial arvo/night comp on.

Date: Saturday Afternoon/Evening 26th November

Start time: 4pm until when ever it finishes.

Location: Simpson Falls @ Mt Cootha.
Now i'm not sure of the exact spot around here, but Brett said that it was near the first car park. So Brett will probably chime in with an exact location.

There will be 2 tracks run at this stage. Each rig will run these once in Day light and then once again when it gets dark.

Currently rigs will be required to run under their own lights (led head lights/spotties etc) and people scoring will have a head lamp to see the score sheet.
However i've asked Brett to possibly allow a head lamp for the driver as well to save on busted ankles.

So who's in?

if all my parts turn up and are fitted in time i will come down.

problem is i have no lights and am not really keen on putting them on either, its a waste of time.

Can i just strap a cap light to the bonnet lol..

We'll half ya shyt is here Adam...Just diff gears and spurs to go...(which will show up the day after the comp as always... )

I'm thinking headlamps for the drivers as well...Even with the lights my honcho has they don't really throw enough light to see whats in front of the rig, never mind where you're going.
If its a full moon it wouldn't be too bad, but it's a Gibbous then so it won't throw a heap of light

No worries mate...That's a good trip for sure.
This is just a bit of a trial run anyway to see how it goes.

Pretty sure Brett was saying this was near the first car park at simpson (where we met up for the last round of Qrock). It's before the boom gates, so you can still park there. You just can't go any further in than there by car.

SPEWING, seen as those i put my brighter lights in, and what better chance than to test them here but I'm in Grafton for the weekend

Light

In scale class the lights must be on the vehicle, cap lights will be suficent as long as the light is on the car.

I will supply the scorer with a head light, (RED LED) it will be ok to score by but shouldn't throw to much light onto the track.

The boundary and cones will be marked with glow sticks

In 2.2 trail.... if any turn up, the driver will be alowed to have a head light

Last count was 43 LEDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the rig

Yes has own 2c battery just for the lights

I have fitted some lights to my car and to bens car so we will be there with bells on ( opps I mean lights on )

So can we strap a torch on the front

I'm not going tonight. I'm on the way to Gallangowan for IROQ. Got signed up for it without anybody telling me until yesterday

You would have been better strapping some flippers on we got rained out on the first track and I broke a c hub some how on wet rocks.
