do i need a bec..
ok i have a new 13kg servo and it is weaker than my 9kg
sooo. (yes ive read "servo glitch")
is this due to me not having a bec?
most of my gear is base at most.
i do have a 5channel 2.4g radio (im too lazy to go see the brand) and am now running two servo's plus the motor is brushed (standard 540 type)
i will upgrade motor later just fishing for ideas atm..
so.. if i get the bec.. will this mean my servo's will get all the amps they need?
do i need one per servo?

Re: do i need a bec..
Yes you need a BEC....simple.
One Castle 10a BEC should be all you need for the torque ratings you've given.
Repeat: YES you need a BEC. A single Castle 10A one should be fine.
Edit: Don't mean to sound overly rude (well sorta ). But the 'servo glitch' thread pretty much outlines that if you are having issues with servo's and you aren't running an external BEC. That is most likely the issue. If the BEC doesn't solve the problem you then look at the servo's or the Rx as the cause of the problem.

Re: do i need a bec..
yeah i read it a few times.. mine isnt really a glitch or a problem.. justa "crap ive wasted money again" but im ordering one soon.. just prolly gonna start all this after christmas..
so much goin on atm.
i'll reread the thread coz u explained the wirein setup pretty well there,
one other question.... my esc seems to have two outlets on it that look like they could run a servo or the like.?
yes my esc? ive had many esc's but thats goin back 4 years now and none ever had these plugs on them..
if ya want i'll post a photo tonight..
..no your not rude mate.. i'll always measure twice cut once.. and ask before letting the magic smoke out

Re: do i need a bec..
If they are on your esc they will most likely be a outlet for fans or the like. Posting up a pic would help.
The bec has to be wired in parallel to the main pack, it actually bypasses the esc in a way.

Re: do i need a bec..
yeah i noticed it was a "bypass" simple layout tho..
just weird re:esc with outlets..
prolly just me not keeping up to date with stuff.
be good to get out with some others and see the differance between rigs.. after reading some of the comp rules stuff im guessing mine would be outlaw class.
ive been eyeing up my chassis and might fabricate some fibreglass chassis rails soon and see if i can make it a full chassis.
seems most of you folk here are into scale reproduction.. so i better get with the program lol

Re: do i need a bec..
Its not that weird to have outlets on the esc. A fair few had them as fan outlets etc. as i said.
If you have a pangolin it would be a 2.2 sportsman as it stands.
Easy enough to turn into a scale rig....full chassis & 1.9 tyres are you're halfway there.
