Re: Hilux soon to be Mog
Thanks guys.....Yes Ads he's getting on & hard to keep on track.
Ahhh..no Jarrod the mog won't be finished for Sunday, today will be glueing all the attachments back on and the hinge also the rear support.
I've still got a long way to go......making brackets for the cab/chassis....then cutting the tray shorter to fit the short wheel base. It is a slow process, especially so close to xmass.

Re: Hilux soon to be Mog
Leave the silver as an undercoat that way when it scratches it looks like it has taken it back to metal.

Yeah im with Jarrod on that. Once you do the camo, leave the silver as a base. Will look sick when its all dinged up.

Re: Hilux soon to be Mog
yeah im with your idea scotty.
Then you can dress up the elec box as a crate or somthing...plus it'll drop the tray height a bit as well.

Scott that looks great ! I agree with having your electronics box in the tray. But mount it up the front.

Re: Hilux soon to be Mog
yeah
by cutting some holes in the tray you will be able to lower it over the rear shock towers and the tray will hide it.
WTF.....is up with the green stick on the front ???? LOL
I would get rid of that.

Re: Hilux soon to be Mog
It goes quite well underwater with the arial where it is thankyou Scott.....the prob is that is the full length from the elect box at the rear so i could go any higher. I don't really care how it looks its staying where it is.
Anyway......after 3 full days the beast is finally finished, apart from painting all the alloy black, thats for another day.....i have had enough of building for a while. I'll get some pics up shortly.
