That looks amazing. What colour are you going to do the cab in?

the cab is going to be a couple shades of orange. darker orange on the door and bonnet panels, lighter on the rest. lots of decals / logos. i love sponsored rigs.

the back tray already has carpet installed in the flat section and the spare tire and accessories have been selected. just waiting on my 1:100 scale rc truck for the rc truck Very Happy

Hey Ads

I have the following in the gearbox

http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/rrp1541.htm

http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/rrp1542.htm

you may also want to get yourself when you are ordering stuff from RPP a spare diff housing. after a while some of the screw holes will weaken and wont hold. they are only $ 10 each so no big expense.

the largest of the gears you have ordered still requires you to bolt on the extra bits for the drive shafts. these also break. the one I have listed above is a one piece and will not break under stress. the smallest one in your order is already alloy / steel in the honcho i think. i cant remember

Wow that looks good Scott. The exo cage is different which is good too. My only q is, 2 front bumpers wtf ?
Fark me you guys must be hard on your stuff having to replace all those gears. My only complaint with the mrc is losing pins from the driveshafts. I've upgraded my placcy lockers to metal ones for obvious reasons and added cvds up front for more steering but I've never broken a gear *touch wood*

i like the chrome plus it sits on the front bar work keeping the front cab up. saves having to attach the front all the time.

i used to break gears all the time in the real truck as well, but this is way cheaper to replace. the gears I have been busting are only plastic ones though and the truck does weigh a little bit more than normal.

yea i guessed the chrome bumper was there to fill the gap cause the cabs up so high.

all my driveline is upgraded so i dont break anything, all thats left is ro replace the alloy diff locks and plastic gearbox gears

Looks awesome scott. Came out looking sweet.

fucks me how you're breaking gears tho...I am still on my original (over 2yrs now) gearbox gears in my 2.2 comp rig and ive never (touch wood) broken one. I've had that bitch bound up to the point where it either moves the massive rock its wedged on, or flips the whole rig around the tyre thats bound... affraid

just got back from a run with the boys at JC. it does not look like that anymore. although i will say that the extra height is a huge bonus. you just have to pick your lines better to stop it from swaying too much.

a shim (washer) between the pinion & bearing its an easy fix,as long as ya do it (if needed) before using em otherwise shred goes the pinion lol!
thats right i shreded a front & rear but i'm not running a slipper at the moment clown but have since rectified the prob & no dramas now.

cheers Aaron.
