i used to break gears all the time in the real truck as well, but this is way cheaper to replace. the gears I have been busting are only plastic ones though and the truck does weigh a little bit more than normal.
Looks awesome scott. Came out looking sweet.
fucks me how you're breaking gears tho...I am still on my original (over 2yrs now) gearbox gears in my 2.2 comp rig and ive never (touch wood) broken one. I've had that bitch bound up to the point where it either moves the massive rock its wedged on, or flips the whole rig around the tyre thats bound...

hey aaron
i am still thinking about your 60 diffs. someone told me though that they have a lot of play inside them. do your have this and how did you fix the problems ?

just got back from a run with the boys at JC. it does not look like that anymore. although i will say that the extra height is a huge bonus. you just have to pick your lines better to stop it from swaying too much.

a shim (washer) between the pinion & bearing its an easy fix,as long as ya do it (if needed) before using em otherwise shred goes the pinion
thats right i shreded a front & rear but i'm not running a slipper at the moment but have since rectified the prob & no dramas now.
cheers Aaron.

Re: My Rig_SCX10 Honcho Chassis build
dia no bigger than base of the pinion
& thick enough to take out any movement,
they run an E clip on the shaft so its preety simple really.
