1.9 tubed 40
i started this a while ago,
made a chassis out of 11x11 box
heated & bent then sliced it up the guts
worked alright then me being me decided to hack it up & tube it
its around halfway there, but i've probably spent 5 hrs on this thing in the last 6 months.
she will be runninga;
a rooster crawler & 35t
into a hpi reduction g/box
into a wheely king(g/box) t/case
axial diffs with 4 link,
90mm ultimate scale shocks on full droop,
silver sunnys & half worn simex pedes
with a trimmed up body.
there is still a bit of barwork left to do.
cheers Aaron.

I have 3 sets of axial diffs,
1 pair of f350 diffs
& 2 sets of arb rex 60 diffs i might aswell use em aye
you can see why i dont mind the dogbite out of that 40 body mate
the way i drive it'll be good to have a spare

Re: 1.9 tubed 40
allright update time i've mounted the motor gearbox & t/case.
driving it last night to give it a test run
& lets just say click goes the w/king gears
so i think i'll be using the axial g/box for the transfer,
its alot more compact anyway.
cheers Aaron.

Re: 1.9 tubed 40
i thought i should update in the right place
front bar, sliders & scrub bars done.
started on the interior.
the list of things left to be done is gettin shorter,
expecting to hit the trails with this thing sooner rather than later
cheers Aaron.

Re: 1.9 tubed 40
reshaped the rear,
mid mounted steer servo next to the t/case,
done some bracing in a couple of spots.
And just finished painting her
decided to leave axial diffs under her but she is wearin new boots
have to shave the axles down a bit,
make a 4 link upper mount,
& finish the interior
cheers Aaron.

Re: 1.9 tubed 40
shes painted,just have to;
finish interior,
shave axial diffs & make 4 link truss,
the steering took a bit of tinkering to get right bump steer is almost 0 .
anyway let me know what ya think so far.
cheers fellas, Aaron.

Re: 1.9 tubed 40
the 40 is coming along nicely mate top work. that bar work is a grade for mine mate. very well thought out, tough but not excessive
i rekon if you leave the bonnet sittin flush and manage a bonnet scoop, for all them big 40's runnin 308's and 350's that would look wicked mate. im not sure on the logistics of it all but just my 2bob

yeah i found some lexan for a scoop & had just enough paint left & have mounted it onto bonnet
the heat fins from the esc poke up into the hole & is visible thru the scoop
as far as bonnet lift goes i'll put up some pics 2 show what i mean.

Re: 1.9 tubed 40
long time no update so heres some pics i took yesterday ,
dont worry about the boots she's wearing i leant the rocklox to a mate & havent put em back on her yet.
the interior is done other than attaching the steering wheel & gear sticks ,
under dash the battery & esc mount is 50 % done ,
the fins from the esc can be seen thru the scoop & if i've got room i'll put a cooling fan on top of it.
takin my time so she looks the goods for the 4x4 show , but geez am i itchin to beat the #### out of this thing .
any comments would be appreciated if theres somethin that i've over looked let me know .
oh yeah & heres a peak at 1 of my next projects
