Post  Admin on Wed Oct 27, 2010 3:12 am

Layout

- If there are enough scale trucks then they will run their own class.

- Courses will be set out at organisers discretion, track layout persons will run first course first.

- Time limits will be enforced.

- Teams event will be a timed event, with some gates involved (organisers descretion).

Penalties/Scoring

- Bonus gates = -10 points.

- Gate-repo = 20 points.

- Reposition = 15 points.

- Roll over Repo = 10 points

- Boundary = 2 points.

- Reverse = 1 point.

- Failure to complete the course in the given time = DNF.

LOWEST SCORE WINS

Rules

Bonus Gates

– These can be added at the course designers will, these are non compulsory gates. All other penalties apply when taking these gates.

Gates

- Gates start at 50 points and progress down to 0. These deduct automatically so no score need to be recorded.

- A missed gate means that you cannot progress to the next one unless the gate is successfully negotiated (3-wheels) and associated boundary penalty or a repo and corresponding points are levied. If a driver cannot progress thru a gate without a reposition he does not get the progress points however incurs a gate-repo penalty.
If a vehicle clears a gate with less than 3 wheels they must either re attempt the gate or take a Repo Penalty.

- A gate must have 3 wheels clearly through it; however, if you hit a cone or boundary you will incur a 2 point boundary penalty.

- They are to be no narrower than 20”. Gates can be made wider but it is up to the course designer’s discretion.

Reposition-

A reposition is the RC equivalent of winching and should be a heavy penalty. Not the same as a rollover recovery. A repo should be within 12” or so of the original position. Truck can be placed anywhere in this radius (by a marshal) at the driver’s direction.

Roll Over’s

- There are no penalties for a roll over if vehicle self rights, however vehicle must drive from where it lands. Other wise a ‘roll over-repo’ penalty applies

- If vehicle correction requires assistance then a roll over penalty shall apply. A ‘roll over-repo’ should be within 12” or so of the original position. Truck can then be placed anywhere in this radius (by a marshal) at the driver’s direction.

- No penalty for self recovery from an inversion

Boundary
- The hitting of any cone or boundary line as marked on the course will incur a penalty. A boundary can only incur 1 penalty

Reverse

- Any intentional reverse or rearward motion for the benefit of a better line. Reverse movement is when the throttle is placed in reverse or neutral to intentionally move the vehicle in a rearward motion. Being bumped backward by an obstacle isn’t counted.

- When a reverse penalty is taken you may reverse as far as you wish however only in one motion. A second reverse will incur further points

DNF

- Your points will still be totalled however a DNF will place in score order after the highest non DNF score

- The gate number you finished at is recorded under the gate score and added to your total.

OUTLAW CLASS.

There are no vehicle restrictions in this class other than it has to be remote controlled. Refer to the rules as to gate measurements to not be too wide.
- No height or clearance restrictions
- No body or tube frame restrictions
- No WB or width restrictions - Refer to the rules as to gate measurements to not be too wide.
- Does not have to be a shafty, can use clod diffs or similar.

TRAILS TRUCKS

- Max 320mm (12.5") WB
- Max tyre size - No taller than the largest available 2.2 tyre.
- No height or clearance restrictions
- No body or tube frame restrictions
- No winches - (can be fitted to vehicle but can not be used during racing).
- Does not have to be a shafty, can use clod diffs or similar.

SCALE CLASS

- Must be shaft driven
- Max 305mm (12") WB
- Max 125mm (5") tyres (by manufactures size, so no bigger than a Moab)
- Max width is 255mm (10") - rim to rim.
- No height or clearance restrictions
- Chassis must run from centre of rear diff to centre of front diff (this will include tube work for those building truggies)
- Must be shaft driven
