LOWEST SCORE WINS

Rules

Bonus Gates

– These can be added at the course designers will, these are non compulsory gates. All other penalties apply when taking these gates.

Gates

- Gates start at 50 points and progress down to 0. These deduct automatically so no score need to be recorded.

- A missed gate means that you cannot progress to the next one unless the gate is successfully negotiated (3-wheels) and associated boundary penalty or a repo and corresponding points are levied. If a driver cannot progress thru a gate without a reposition he does not get the progress points however incurs a gate-repo penalty.
If a vehicle clears a gate with less than 3 wheels they must either re attempt the gate or take a Repo Penalty.

- A gate must have 3 wheels clearly through it; however, if you hit a cone or boundary you will incur a 2 point boundary penalty.

- They are to be no narrower than 20”. Gates can be made wider but it is up to the course designer’s discretion.

Reposition-

A reposition is the RC equivalent of winching and should be a heavy penalty. Not the same as a rollover recovery. A repo should be within 12” or so of the original position. Truck can be placed anywhere in this radius (by a marshal) at the driver’s direction.

Roll Over’s

- There are no penalties for a roll over if vehicle self rights, however vehicle must drive from where it lands. Other wise a ‘roll over-repo’ penalty applies

- If vehicle correction requires assistance then a roll over penalty shall apply. A ‘roll over-repo’ should be within 12” or so of the original position. Truck can then be placed anywhere in this radius (by a marshal) at the driver’s direction.

- No penalty for self recovery from an inversion

Boundary
- The hitting of any cone or boundary line as marked on the course will incur a penalty. A boundary can only incur 1 penalty

Reverse

- Any intentional reverse or rearward motion for the benefit of a better line. Reverse movement is when the throttle is placed in reverse or neutral to intentionally move the vehicle in a rearward motion. Being bumped backward by an obstacle isn’t counted.

- When a reverse penalty is taken you may reverse as far as you wish however only in one motion. A second reverse will incur further points

DNF

- Your points will still be totalled however a DNF will place in score order after the highest non DNF score

- The gate number you finished at is recorded under the gate score and added to your total.
