yea i got some straps, ground anchor and snatch block, no shackles either just gotta find all of it and get it stuck to the truck.

Well sorry guys but it looks like I'm out as my car has #### itself. Will know if I can make by friday but is not looking good as the alternator blew up literally and took the battery, computer and a lot of wiring as well. Was quite lucky a fire didn't start.

Yeah you can get shackles are Anaconda, but also check fishing & tackle shops..They usually have small stainless shackles for making up big jigs, and some Hobby shops will have ones that the model yacht blokes use (thats what my shackles are)

I've got a snatch strap, snatch block, ground anchor, and a fawk load of winch line...all set

I'll have a look around today and grab some if I find any

Troy i have checked the local tackle shops up here, no good you would have to look at shops that do game fishing gear or cater for comercial fishos.

Chuck if you can find some grab me a few i will fix ya up on sunday mate.

Ok I got the last 4 of these from Bias boating the only things I could find anywhere , they are stainless steel and cost $4.75 each I have 3 spare so who want's one ?

yer i will take 1 chuck.. if noone else wants one i will grab 2

it should all work itself out sundy if everyone brings all the recovery gear they got. even if we make a kit so that every team has the same recovery gear, make it down to team work and winch truck to make the difference.

side note, is there any objections to me bringin the dog for the day no dramas if your bringin younger kids 8or less or rather no mini mountain goat gettin about, let us no n i will leave her back in boonah for the weekend

Regarding recovery gear that sound like a great idea ads so keeps it level playin field!

the pups cool bud she only bites the tyres of the fast ones
as long as shes not on the course its all good

sounds good, didnt think you would have a problem more a heads up for others, yea ill keep her away from the course when i mot runnin so she might only be a boither to me n my team she digs runnin around like a mountain goat. and if a have a ball for her to chase she'll be sweet as.

looks good Az... I tried making them a while back but i was not happy with them they never looked any good. Plus they were to small and fidily for me i dont have a steady enough hand.

oh yeah its fiddly bud braized the m3 bolt into the shackle
heated to remove fell apart reattached snapped while trying to undo said bolt
threw on floor & kicked the (#^$

but the 2nd 1 came up sweeeeet
no not really i tapped it to clear it out didnt bother lookin at the tap untill i was wondering what the hells goin on

I finally found one up here, the only one in the bay.. you got a good deal at $4.75 chuck the one i got costed me $10 and that was with a $2.90 discount. Still stainless but slightly different.

theres no nick im preety sure ,
rustys not lookin good & no reply from benolux
there is a cut off time if theres not 3 & 2 1st response is in
if theres no response see if any body wants to step in to non winch
if not then the last nominated winch will be non winch

if this happens its 4 teams of 4 which means
kit will contain & everybody will use the same kit it will only be replaced if items are broken
2 snatch straps
1 shackle
1 ground anchor
1 winch vehicle
if we end up with the original plan of 6 teams of 3
1 snatch strap will be removed

can we see who can bring what gear so we can get an idea if we have it all ???

i'll be arriving at the quarry early sat to paint the rest of the course
only have untill 9 to get it done & get home so its a little less to do sun morn
if anybodys crazy enough to want to join me your more than welcome

Yeah I'm still confused

I have built a ground anchor and have 3 small D shackles and a snatch block just have to make a snatch strap and some tiny little gloves to handle the winch line safely lol

Yeha i've got a ground anchor, snatch block, at least one snatch strap....
Also made up some 'speed' hooks for the snatch straps etc. Not really scale, but makes hooking up this small #### easier & quicker.
They're just bent brass rod. Works like a treat.

i got a couple ground anchors, a snatchy, snatch block and few other things, we should be able to cover the kit and any breakages easily between us all.

should be interesting this time around i dont really hvae a clue of the tracks, maybe not knowin will let me drive better
